Asia is the largest continent in the world, accounting for close to a third of the earth surface. Being such a large area, weather conditions across the continent vary significantly in different regions. The state of weather in Asia also varies significantly in the four seasons of the year. Regions close to the ocean have their weather conditions influenced by the ocean. Interior Asia also experiences different weather conditions than the eastern side of the continent. Each season brings its own weather conditions in a region different from those observed in the other regions. The most notable feature of the weather conditions in the continent is the massive variations between daytime temperatures and those recorded at night, especially in the desert areas.
